AFerry to power Thomas Cook for Ferries

AFerry to power Thomas Cook for Ferries

01 February 2011

AFerry.co.uk has signed a deal with high street travel agent Thomas Cook, to provide an in -store online comparison engine to help travel consultants find their customers the best deal on ferry crossings in one easy step.

Thomas Cook travel consultants will no longer have to visit each of the individual ferry operator's sites to try and seek out the best deal for their customers. Whether travellers want to include a ferry crossing as part of their package, or to book independently, Thomas Cook travel consultants will now be able to enter their details just once to find the most convenient and competitive crossing.

Kirsty Laifa from AFerry.co.uk commented "As the leading online ferry comparison site AFerry.co.uk are delighted to be able to provide Thomas Cook with a bespoke booking engine that will show all crossings and prices, from all ferry operators, in one easy step. This deal brings the best of online services to the high street, a move that will be great for the industry and consumers alike".

Not only will this reduce the amount of time it takes to find the best deal for Thomas Cook customers, it will also mean that they can select the most appropriate crossing for their travel plans.

AFerry.co.uk was voted as The Worlds Leading Ferry Website in the 2010 World Travel Awards held in September. The introduction of advanced online booking systems as well as the introduction of the FindaFerry iPhone app, launched to help consumers stranded by the recent air traffic disruption find alternative means of travel back to the UK, were just two of the developments that gave AFerry.co.uk that competitive edge allowing them to walk away with the coveted award.
