AFerry.co.uk has today launched further enhancements to its successful "Find a Ferry" iPhone application. The new features allow users to plan their journeys in more detail giving them the ability to search for outgoing and incoming ferry times from their nearest departure points. Gone are the days when you had to ring each operator individually to get the next available crossing.
These revolutionary enhancements follow hot on the heels of the initial successful launch of the first Free ferry iPhone application and make it the most advanced ferry application serving the UK to France route.
Whilst the application is initially for routes between the UK and France, there are plans to extend this to other routes throughout the UK and to add more functionality in the near future.
Kirsty Laifa, spokesperson for ferry experts aferry.co.uk commented, "Gone are the days when travellers had to ring around the various ferry companies to find the next available crossing. Today's savvy travellers want to use a medium that fits around their lifestyle, and the free find a ferry iPhone application meets this need whether travelling for business or pleasure".
AFerry.co.uk, the online comparison site, allows consumers to ensure they're getting the best possible deal on their ferry crossing. The development of the iPhone application is yet another way of helping the industry fit around the customer, not the other way round. In these fast moving times it's imperative that the ferry industry is at the front of developments providing information and services in a way that users really want.
Kirsty Laifa continued: "Ferry travel is clearly having a resurgence, AFerry.co.uk has seen an uplift of in bookings over peak summer months last year and we're confident that the this trend will continue throughout Autumn as we develop easier and faster ways for travellers to access ferry travel information."
